Manufacturing the Future: October Educational Programs at Endress+Hauser

October 7th marks National Manufacturing Day in the United States, and the Endress+Hauser team is proud to add our educational support to over 1,200 events set to celebrate modern manufacturing across the country.Endress_Manufacturing_Day_2016.png

Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) was designed to inform, educate, and inspire communities by addressing some of the common misconceptions about manufacturing — factory tours, public events, and forums held in celebration of the event take charge of strengthening communities’ connections with their local manufacturers. MFG Day is designed, both literally and figuratively, to open our doors.

The core values internationally driving Endress+Hauser are built upon leading by example, encouraging diversity, and working well together. Inspiring the next generation of manufacturers through these national events precisely aligns with these company ethics. To join in the celebration, the Community, Career and Education Forum will return on October 6, 2016.

At the last STEM forum, over 800 students, parents, educators, manufacturing professionals and community members gathered to talk about careers in advanced manufacturing, job and process particulars, and opportunities for the future. Instrumentation challenges, kid-friendly prizes, and meet and greet opportunities with the industry professionals and educators are all on this year’s event agenda.

Projections for future job opportunities for automation engineers look positive, and the intricacies of the profession accommodate engineering minds of all kinds — young problem solvers are sure to find robots and machines to pique their unique interests, not to mention guide them on an exciting and lucrative industry path.

Endress+Hauser employees will also be on hand throughout the entire event to answer questions, offer tours, and chat with visitors.

Open to students in seventh, eighth, and ninth grade for its third year running, the forum will take place on Thursday, October 6, 2016, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Please let us know if you’re interested in attending the event — registration is open now!
