Accuracy of free space radar depends on frequency, beam angle, antenna configuration and installation.
Free-space radar transmitters for level measurement typically use 6, 26 and 80 GHz frequencies. Some manufacturers claim that the higher the frequency, the better the performance. This is not necessarily true. Instead, accuracy is dependent upon a combination of frequency, beam angle, antenna configuration and installation but most importantly the dielectric constant of the product itself.
